During the webinar, participants explored how the five key competencies – Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, Citizenship and Change – can be fostered through international project work in schools.
Drawing on practical examples and insights from international projects, the speakers, Maite Valencia and Rachel Johnson, highlighted how these interconnected competencies empower young learners to become active, engaged and responsible global citizens. Participants discovered how students can use their creativity to explore new ideas, collaborate with peers across borders, communicate and exchange perspectives, and take action on issues that matter to them. By connecting local experiences with global perspectives, international projects offer meaningful opportunities for learners to develop a sense of agency, build intercultural understanding and make a positive difference in their local and global communities.
