On 8–9 September 2026, the INVITED team, Mateja Dagarin Fojkar and Tina Rozmanič (University of Ljubljana, Slovenia), Katarzyna Brzosko-Barratt and Paulina Marchlik (University of Warsaw, Poland) and Yvette Coyle (University of Murcia, Spain), attended the 4th International Conference on Early Language Learning and Multilingualism in Early Childhood Education (ELLME) in Gdańsk, Poland. The team presented the paper “Preparing Pre-Service Primary Language Teachers for Virtual Exchange with Young Learners in European Contexts,” sharing insights from the INVITED project on preparing future teachers to integrate virtual exchange into language teaching with young learners. The conference provided a valuable opportunity to share our work, exchange ideas with international colleagues, and discuss new approaches to early language learning and multilingual education.
