eTwinning Training Sessions in Spain

Two two-hour training sessions were held in the Faculty of Education for the Spanish team members on April 25th and 30th 2024. Each session was led by an eTwinning ambassador from the Education Department in Murcia. The objectives of these sessions were to familiarize the team members with the background to the Erasmus + and eTwinning programmes and to allow them to gain hands-on experience in navigating the European School Education and the eTwinning platforms. To this end, the ambassadors created a group “eTwinnico y Facultad de Educación de la Universidad de Murcia” which enabled the team members to familiarize themselves with the different sections of the on-line site (pages, materials, forum, on-line meetings, members) and to engage in diverse actions such as searching for and accepting contacts or creating projects. In the second session, the team members practiced uploading photos and videos to the platform, simulating the actions on Twinspace.  Examples of good practice projects were projected in both sessions, for pre-school and primary education, and discussed together with the rubrics employed by the Spanish National eTwinning Office for award-winning projects. The ambassadors also shared information about upcoming on-line professional development courses, which some of the team members registered for. The training sessions were disseminated in Facebook and X (formerly Twitter).
